Show HN: PaperMono, e-ink fridge magnet shopping list with mobile web page

Hacker News · 135 pts · 58 comentarios

Fridge magnet shopping list on an M5Stack PaperMono (ESP32-S3, e-ink touchscreen), synced with a phone web app over Wi-Fi. Works offline, ~2,400 lines of C++. This is a great wee device! BLE, Wi-Fi and LoRa on one board makes it flexible for way more than a shopping list, this is just what I built first. This firmware only uses Wi-Fi. Fully vibe-coded with Claude Code, I didn’t hand-write this. I wanted to see how Claude would get on with building something useful for a new hardware device. As it’s stuck to the fridge it’s easy for the family to use, and it’s already being used day to day which I’ll admit is a first for a home built project…

Show HN: Low Poly Earth – The whole planet in 3D, built from OpenStreetMap data

Show HN · 5 pts · 1 comentarios

After seeing demos of Claude and GPT construct Manhattan and other city neighborhoods in 3D I was inspired to make something similar but for the entire Earth. It’s a low poly version of Google Earth built using open street and elevation data as a native Apple silicon Mac app. It was built entirely using Codex and Claude Code and took about 80 days.

Show HN: Fusor – Like Vue, but the logic is Rust

Show HN · 8 pts · 1 comentarios

I’ve been building Fusor. It’s a reactive web framework for Rust where the templates are plain HTML files, so there’s no markup living inside Rust macros like view! or rsx!. The state and logic live in ordinary Rust structs, and the whole app compiles to WASM. It also benefits from Rust type checkers, even for the HTML bindings. The Fusor website is fully built using the framework. It’s all experimental, so I expect breaking changes and lots of refactors. Any feedback is welcome, and so are contributions! The project is pro AI, if you do decide to contribute.

Bringing AI to Autonomous Systems – From Cognition to Collective Intelligence

arXiv cs.AI

arXiv:2609.30291v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The purpose of this article is to highlight the central role of autonomous systems as the ultimate stage in the development of AI, to explain the underlying technical challenges that require a combination of connectionist AI and symbolic AI, and to integrate AI and systems engineering. We present a comprehensive framework for the design and evaluation of autonomous systems, based on a generic agent architecture that characterizes their behavior as the composition of cognitive functions organized around a long-term memory containing the agent’s evolving knowledge. We address the challenges posed…

Bridging LLM Agents and Data Spaces: An Architectural Mediation Approach using the Model Context Protocol

arXiv cs.AI

arXiv:2609.30341v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Data Spaces enable sovereign and governed data sharing across organizational boundaries, but their integration with AI agents remains challenging due to mismatches between probabilistic language model interactions and policy-driven data infrastructures. This article presents an architectural mediation approach based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), implemented through the Eunomia Agent, to enable controlled interaction between large language model (LLM) agents and data space services. The proposed mediation layer translates data space capabilities into structured, schema-driven tools that AI…

Show HN: HN.watch – Videos of all Hacker News posts

Hacker News · 168 pts · 90 comentarios

Hi HN, I’m Per, founder of Scrimba (YC S20). We’ve spent the last decade teaching people how to code with an HTML-based video format. We’ve now plugged an LLM into it, so that people can create explainer videos about anything. It’s called “Scrimba Explain”. To demo this technology for Hacker News, we built HN.watch. It’s like HN, but with explainer videos instead of articles. We create them on-the-fly the first time someone clicks on a link. While there are obvious visual drawbacks of using HTML instead of diffusion models, there are three big benefits: - Speed: Much faster to generate than pixel-based videos (just a few seconds from click to…
